Meet Stephen from Apollo Performance Chiropractic & Training

Stephen leads the Performance Training team at Apollo and works with adults who want to build strength, resilience, and long-term physical capacity.

His coaching focuses on progressive strength training, intelligent programming, and building real physical capability over time.

At Apollo, we believe that strength isn’t something you preserve — it’s something you build.

And with the right approach, that process can start at any age.

What You’ll Learn Inside This Free Guide

Most women are told to focus on cardio, light weights, or simply “staying active.”

But when it comes to protecting bone density and maintaining muscle as we age, those approaches often fall short.

Inside this guide, you'll learn the key training and lifestyle principles we use with our clients at Apollo to help them stay strong, capable, and active for the long term.

  • Why cardio alone isn’t enough to protect bone density and muscle strength

  • The type of strength training that actually supports bone health and long-term resilience

  • Why power training becomes important as we age and how it helps maintain balance and reaction

  • How proper nutrition supports stronger bones and muscle recovery

  • Simple training progressions you can start with, even if you’re new to strength training

  • How building strength today helps protect your independence and activity for decades

What Our Clients Are Saying

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stephen Portee is a great coach who personalizes and customizes your training thoughtfully, taking the time to understand your goals, lifestyle, fitness level, and even your mindset and energy level on any given day. Every session with Stephen is intentionally crafted. He is reading your body language and form, giving you real time constructive feedback with slight adjustments that have incredible impact. The work outs are hard and push you forward, but never to the point of burnout or injury. Stephen is masterful in his approach, somehow knowing when to push you harder or ease up a bit. He coaches with such positivity and encouragement. I feel uplifted and energized after every session, no matter how I felt going into it. My time with him is now such an important part of my own health and wellness journey. He is studied, has deep experience and is a continuous learner, a strong partner to anyone looking to stay in shape and get stronger.

Training at Apollo is the highlight of my week. I started doing partner sessions with Gabe this summer, and I always look forward to them. Gabe is knowledgeable, approachable, and clearly puts a lot of thought into every workout. He’s great about answering questions, checking in on our progress outside the gym, and regularly asking for feedback on what we enjoy or want to focus on. Every session strikes the right balance of being challenging and fun. I’ve already noticed improvements in my strength and mobility, and I’m excited to keep building on that progress with him.

Stephen Portee is an outstanding trainer who is dedicated to helping me achieve goals and success. My training sessions were excellent and very well structured. Stephen was knowledgeable and engaging. He is personable and encouraged me to ask questions and always explained how the muscles work and tailored my training to avoid pain by making small adjustments. Stephen encouraged me to push beyond my comfort to help me get stronger in many areas. Throughout the training when I experienced what I called a "setback", Stephen was quick to jump in and explain it is just a "flare up", not a setback, and we would just adjust what we were doing. Stephen also always took the time to check in with me after each session and ask how I was feeling, which showed he cared and he was invested. I highly recommend Apollo Training and send out much thanks to Stephen and Brett for their support and help with my recovery journey!
